I just received the following email in my inbox and this is the first time I hear such a great news about the subject on GMO’s even if it will take a while for this to come into effect, at least we are walking in the right direction… And hopefully more stores will join the effort and we, the consumers will in return be able to make choices for ourselves and our families that really matters to our health! 🙂

Approximately 90 percent of all corn, soy and canola grown in the U.S. are genetically modified, that is, they’ve had their DNA altered to withstand high levels of pesticides that kill weeds and insects. Where do all those Franken-crops wind up? In your cornflakes, your favorite brownie mix and pretty much any other food that comes in a box or a can. But that could soon change. One of the largest food chains in the country has just announced that they will require labeling of genetically modified ingredients in five years, which could send massive ripple effects throughout the food industry.
